Courtney and Aaron

This week I had the pleasure of doing the engagement photos of my friend from work Courtney, and her fiance Aaron.  These two aren't your normal couple, in the span of a year they have taken on more responsibility than some do in a lifetime.  They have a beautiful baby girl together, Emmie, (whom i hope to take some pictures of very soon...hint hint ;)..and closed on their first house the day of this shoot!  Though mature beyond their years they still are young and have a fun relationship that i can see is based on not just love and commitment, but humor, and that utter silliness you only have when you can really be yourself around someone.  Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, laugher, and L.O.V.E.  Congrats!

The Bolton Family

What was going to be a maternity shoot for the lovely Emily turned out to be a bit of a family one; with husband Jeremy, son Brody, and highly anticipated Jake along for the ride.  After a morning of acorn hunting, guitar playing, and of course a few pictures being taken...haha....a possible conclusion came upon us; it just might be Emily's lot in life to be surrounded by men.  One which she is more than happy with.  Though that very well might change in the future, one thing is definite...it's Jake's lot in life to be surrounded by a loving and generous family, one which i'm sure he will be happy with as well. :)

Amber & Kaitlin; and all things Whimsy...

This week i had the pleasure of shooting two girls that i work with.  I admit, at first i found it might be a touch "creepy" to be asking two people i hardly know if i can take them out into the woods to take pictures of them...hah.  But, lucky for me, they were more than happy to and became my willing models for the day.  Amber is going to be a junior in high school this year, and Kaitlin is off to college! It was interesting spending the day with two girls so young.  Made me think back to when i was that age, carefree, and everything that happened seemed like a Possibility.  I had forgotten that feeling...glad i was reminded.

Lindsey (with Roz in tow)

I've known Lindsey since sixth grade so when she asked me to do her Maternity pictures i was more than happy.  It's so funny how people grow up..hah.  It's been a pleasure seeing one of my childhood friends grow up, get married, and now on to motherhood...one job i know she's going to be amazing at.  I'm so very proud of the woman Lindsey has become...and i know little Rozalynn will feel the same way.  We are waiting to welcome you into the world Roz! But for now....here are some pictures.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new.
