Amber & Kaitlin; and all things Whimsy...

This week i had the pleasure of shooting two girls that i work with.  I admit, at first i found it might be a touch "creepy" to be asking two people i hardly know if i can take them out into the woods to take pictures of them...hah.  But, lucky for me, they were more than happy to and became my willing models for the day.  Amber is going to be a junior in high school this year, and Kaitlin is off to college! It was interesting spending the day with two girls so young.  Made me think back to when i was that age, carefree, and everything that happened seemed like a Possibility.  I had forgotten that feeling...glad i was reminded.

Lindsey (with Roz in tow)

I've known Lindsey since sixth grade so when she asked me to do her Maternity pictures i was more than happy.  It's so funny how people grow up..hah.  It's been a pleasure seeing one of my childhood friends grow up, get married, and now on to motherhood...one job i know she's going to be amazing at.  I'm so very proud of the woman Lindsey has become...and i know little Rozalynn will feel the same way.  We are waiting to welcome you into the world Roz! But for now....here are some pictures.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new.

Amber & Bryan

I am beyond excited to post this new entry!! After a couple weeks of going back and forth due to the weather i finally was able to shoot the engagement photos of my two good friends Amber and Bryan! We had cancelled due to the extreme heat the week before...but alas, our day out last week was, as Amber would say, "hotter than hades!" We braved the sweltering temps and what we came back with was well worth it I think.  It's easy to see how much these two care about each other; and what i love most about them is that their friendship is just as important as their relationship is. That i know is going to take them far as a couple. So here's to many happy years ahead!! Congrats guys! xx

Bella.

Not often do you meet someone who is not only gorgeous on the outside, but equally so in personality.  That would be the best way to describe my friend Bella, whom i did a makeup and photo shoot with a few days back.  Bella's father is renovating a house at the current moment so we took advantage of the bare walls, and natural light.  It was casual, but adding a touch of glam with Bella's clothes, though mind you she would look good in a paper bag. :) Had a wonderful time and can't wait to shoot with her again!  But for now, here are some of my favorites...
