A couple of weeks ago my friend Bella did a story on Queen of Rags, a local vintage shop located in the Bardstown Rd. highlands area. She kindly asked me to take some pics for the story, which i was more than happy to do. The store itself is a world all it's own, full of color, texture, and all things whimsy. Cheryl Jaggers is the owner and one of the employees, Ailene, was my willing model! She was perfect for the story too, quirky and adorable. One of the photos was posted with the story but i wanted to share the other ones as well!

before (and after)
Today my girl Heather and I played with makeup! I did a silver smokey eye on her and it turned out great, though for someone who never wears dramatic makeup she was a tad shocked. "I don't look like the same person," she said. I even saw her reach toward the mirror thinking she was seeing a mirage of sorts. HaHa. That is the beauty of makeup though, it can transform. Sigh. We then had an impromptu photo shoot after gorging on Ramsi's and Ce' Fiore...it resulted in some beautiful pics.
muse.
Every aspiring photographer has that person. The one that when they buy a new lens, or are toying around with their recently purchased (and might i add a tad confusing) flash, they decide to try out their new tools on this unsuspecting person. For me, that is one of my very best friends Heather. What once was a Chandler face every time the camera went off has now turned into a budding model. Heh. Yes, i admit the odd and awkward face convulsions still seem to surface at times....but now only once like every 5 clicks. Progress. Yay. :)

cave hill.
Hey my love do you believe that we might last a thousand years
Or more if not for this,
Our flesh and blood
It ties you and me right up
Tie me down
Celebrate we will
Because life is short but sweet for certain
We're climbing two by two
To be sure these days continue
These things we cannot change

where the heart is.
Louisville, Ky.
My city, my state.
Though i may complain a lot....we don't have any cool clubs, we don't have a Nordstroms, and when the heck are we going to get a MAC store already? haha.
Even with all that...sometimes, i'll be driving down Bardstown Rd, or taking pictures at Bernheim, and i just stop and think.....man,

Going through all of my makeup pictures on my mac. I'm going to be uploading a lot more here in the next month or two, i've got some ideas for new looks. But for now, here are some of my favorites from the past year.

spring into spring.
I adore Bernheim forest in the Spring. The smell of the gift shop alone takes me back to my childhood when my grandpa would take us there. Poppy would be happy i still love it so.
